Eric Stonestreet, known for his role in "Modern Family," has married his longtime partner, Lindsay Schweitzer. The couple tied the knot at their home in Kansas City, Missouri, on Stonestreet's birthday. He shared the news on Instagram, posting several photos from the ceremony with the caption, "It's my birthday and guess what I got."

The images feature Stonestreet in a navy suit and Schweitzer in a simple white satin gown. One photo captures the couple smiling and holding hands, while another shows them dancing together.

Stonestreet and Schweitzer's wedding plans were announced earlier this year. In July, Stonestreet mentioned that they were building a house specifically to host their wedding. "Well, I've said we're building a house to host a wedding, and we're still on track to do that," he stated. He added, "We got engaged and then all of a sudden got an opportunity to build a house, and I thought, no better way to start a relationship than literally building a foundation."

The couple first met in 2016 at the Big Slick charity event in Kansas City. They began dating shortly after and got engaged in August 2021. Stonestreet expressed his feelings about Schweitzer, saying, "We've been together for a long time, and I just knew I wasn't going to find a better partner in life than Lindsay."

Following the announcement of their marriage, congratulatory messages poured in from friends and colleagues. Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Stonestreet's co-star from "Modern Family," commented, "Of all second marriages, this one is my favorite! I love you both! I'm so happy for you!!!!"

Other well-wishers included celebrities like Octavia Spencer and Michael Buble, who also shared their excitement for the newlyweds.

Stonestreet gained fame for his portrayal of Cameron Tucker on "Modern Family," which aired for 11 seasons from 2009 to 2020. After the show concluded, he returned to Kansas City, where he and Schweitzer have now begun their new life together as a married couple.
