The Pittsburgh Steelers have some new safety help in Jabrill Peppers , who was signed by the team on Tuesday. That signing comes as a direct result of DeShon Elliott’s injury, which will cause him to miss at least this game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Peppers was surprisingly released by the New England Patriots just one year into a three-year deal after the preseason. A leader in the secondary for the team, head coach Mike Vrabel wanted a shakeup. Now, Peppers joins the Steelers and could start right away if necessary.
