Here's a look at the number of evictions filed in June in Maricopa County

MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. — We're halfway into 2025, and 12News is taking a look at the number of eviction cases filed in Maricopa County so far.

In June of 2025, 7,029 evictions were filed, compared to 7,247 cases filed in June of last year, data from the Maricopa County Justice Courts shows. At this time last year, there had been 42,254 eviction cases filed overall—the highest number of evictions filed by June of any year since 2000.

A spokesperson for the Maricopa County Justice Courts says that 2025 is on track to have the second-most evictions filed in any year since 2000, just behind 2024.

"This number is in line with what we’ve been seeing all year long: relatively high compared to past years but not at record levels," the spokesperson said of June's numbers.
