JAMISON, Pa. (WPVI) -- A frightening road rage incident came dangerously close to Jamison Elementary School in Bucks County on Monday afternoon, prompting swift action from school staff and raising questions about student safety.
Around 4:30 p.m., during the school's aftercare program, a motorcyclist reportedly drove over the grass and onto school property, heading toward a playground where children were playing. Staff members immediately intervened, preventing the driver from entering the play area.
"The motorcycle came on the side of the property on the grass, and our staff spotted him immediately," said Lauren Dowd, interim principal of Jamison Elementary. "They stopped him from entering the playground, where there were about 20 students playing."
