A 50-year-old man has been arrested and charged with breaking into 12 commercial properties in Toronto's Annex neighbourhood, police say.
In a news release on Tuesday, police said the Business Improvement Area made police aware of several unreported break-ins in the Annex in August.
Now, police are alleging that the man broke into 12 commercial properties between July 15 and Sept. 7, targeting cash registers and point of sale machines.
"The Toronto Police Service encourages our business communities and residents to report all break and enters to police," police said in the release.
The man has been charged with 12 counts of break and enter and commit, one count of break and enter with intent, and 12 counts of breach of probation.
