MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The Mobile Area Water and Sewer System responded to a wastewater overflow on Sept. 8.

According to a release from MAWSS, an employee discovered 4,100 gallons overflowed at 411 Lakeview Drive West and went into Optimist Lake due to a third-party contractor.

MAWSS crews were able to stop the overflow and repair the break that occurred.
