WEST FARGO — No one would’ve loved Tuesday’s Landon’s Light Outdoor Volleyball Invitational more than Landon Solberg himself.

But surely, Solberg was smiling down from high above Essentia Health Plaza at The Lights as eight metro teams took to the court for a historic day of competition that marked the first-ever outdoor high school volleyball matches played in the state of North Dakota.

Picture-perfect weather with temperatures in the mid-70s welcomed spectators to take in four full matches beneath sunny blue skies. All proceeds from the event went to the Landon’s Light Foundation.
