LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A Lincoln nonprofit is rolling along again after replacing some stolen items.
On Tuesday, Food Fort said it has a new generator, trailer hitch and chock blocks.
“Thanks to the generosity of so many of you, we received enough donations to completely replace all of the items that were stolen last month,” the organization said on Facebook.
The organization uses a bus to deliver meals to children in need.
It hit a roadblock when someone broke into the bus and stole a few items.
Food Ford lost its generator, which it used to keep the meals warm, and a hitch that was used to attach a trailer full of fresh produce.
The thief also took the chock blocks, which were placed behind the wheels of the bus to keep it from moving.
