WAYNE — Brian Schwartz’s homegrown nonprofit, I Want to Mow Your Lawn, Inc., has been awarded a $50,000 Kubota Hometown Proud® grant, a national recognition that will allow the Wayne-based organization to expand its community impact across Northern New Jersey.

Kubota Tractor Corporation announced the award as part of its fifth annual Hometown Proud® program, which provides funding and equipment to nonprofits spearheading grassroots projects. Ten organizations nationwide were selected this year, each receiving $25,000 in cash and $25,000 in Kubota equipment.

Schwartz’s group, founded in Wayne during the COVID-19 pandemic, offers free lawn care and landscaping for seniors, veterans, and struggling families. With the new grant — supported locally by Kubota dealer Marshall Machinery, Inc. —
