LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man is in the hospital after a shooting in the Shawnee neighborhood on Tuesday, Sept. 9.

Louisville police said officers responded to a ‘shots fired’ run in the 200 block of Glendora Avenue around 9:40 p.m. While investigating, LMPD was told by UofL Hospital staff about a patient who had walked in with a gunshot wound.

LMPD said their Non-Fatal Shooting Unit responded to the hospital and determined the victim was from the original ‘shots fired’ run.

Police said the victim told officers he was sitting in his car when he was shot in the leg.
