HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - More Hawaii Facebook users say they are being wrongfully suspended from their accounts.

“I was freaking out,” said Aiea resident Kathy Tanita Ohama.

Ohama is a photographer and volunteers taking photos for karate tournaments.

She was shocked by an email she got on July 18th.

“I got suspended for violating community guidelines on child sexual exploitation,” Ohama said.

Ohama says she does background checks for the dojos that reach out to her and takes a “safe sport” training and says she has never had a problem until now.

“I think they’re relying on AI to pick up all of these discrepancies,” she said. “But I think AI has some flaws to it because I can’t imagine what I’m getting busted for.”
