This year marks 20 years of heartache for Michelle Davis, who lost her two sons in a fatal car accident in Morpeth in 2005.

While time helps, the wound of losing a child never heals and Ms Davis can't believe she hasn't seen her sons for two decades.

Out of her heartache came the road safety program ROADwhyz , which Ms Davis founded to prevent other families from experiencing the same tragedy.

She visits schools with highway patrol police and paramedics to explain to students the ripple effect of a reckless decision and how many people are impacted by a poor choice on the road.
