LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The good news remains that the forecast remains largely unchanged, as we track more sunshine but unfortunately a return in summer-like temperatures.

We’re starting out our Wednesday with plenty of sunshine and another comfortable start as many areas have reached the upper 60s.

Humidity is slowly returning however, so the cooler starts will slowly be eroding away as we get back into more of a seasonable pattern.

Sunshine will be abundant as we head through the afternoon, and that will allow temperatures to climb back into the lower 90s.

Rain chances continue to remain limited, but with the return of a little humidity a stray shower or storm can’t be ruled out along the coast this afternoon.
