I’m sitting here, watching night slide into the end of the day, pondering the temperature drop we’ve had recently. Just a few days ago, I was digging out a huge root that had grown into our yard from a neighbor’s tree. They had the tree cut, so I was able to get the root out (a friend wants to do some woodworking magic).
While I was digging, chopping, and finally cutting the root, sweat was rolling off. Today, I had to wear a flannel shirt when my wife and I took our daily three-mile walk. The seasons are changing. Soon we won’t be able to do much outdoor genealogy. The cemeteries will have to wait until spring.
Not to worry, I have a plan. I still have thousands of photos to label, a lot of catching up to do with my filing, and a lot of scanning that hasn’t been done. Winter is coming,
