WASHINGTON — Standing before a swath of cameras and journalists Tuesday, Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove, D-Calif., shared a story she never publicly shared before: her experience with pregnancy loss.
“It was such a journey to endure — incredibly expensive, very invasive. Always with the hope of being able to carry a child to term and then ultimately, sadly, not being able to see that become reality. I eventually stopped that process and began to be that amazing step parent. But I know what it feels like to go through a journey like that,” said the two-term lawmaker.
