A man who sparked a shelter-in-place order and a SWAT team response in Wyoming, Minnesota, on Tuesday evening was later found dead by police.

The incident unfolded from around 7:50 p.m. on the 6200 block of Forest Boulevard Trail, where family members had reported the man was "intoxicated and had threatened to harm himself."

Family members had left the home, leaving the man inside alone, and during the incident the man allegedly made "made statements to friends to shoot responding officers."

At around 9:10 p.m., gunfire was heard from inside the house, with nearby homes struck by bullets, prompting a shelter-in-place order through the city's Code Red emergency system.
