GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A new report published by The Athletic on Wednesday morning details an allegedly tumultuous work environment at Ilitch Sports and Entertainment.
The report found that at least eight men employed by the Detroit Tigers, its business arm or broadcast partner have been accused of misconduct toward women since 2023. Complaints alleged ranged from offensive comments to physical confrontations.
Six of the men are no longer with the company. They either resigned, were fired or did not have their contracts renewed. That includes Sam Menzin (assistant general manager), Michael Lienert (VP of premium sales/private events), Josh Bullock (VP of business operations in Lakeland, Florida), Rob Gehring (director of video content production) and two former players/broadcasters
