GLENWOOD, Iowa ( WOWT /Gray News) - Three construction workers in Iowa saved several family members from a burning home, even using a trampoline to rescue a young boy trapped on the second floor.

Leick Construction employees John Lewis, Gabe Record and Damian Pond saw a house on fire in a Glenwood neighborhood about 12:30 p.m. Monday. Hearing screams, they went into the home and rescued two women and a girl.

“When you hear a child in harm’s way, you’ll do what you got to do,” Lewis said.

But the three coworkers quickly found out the people they rescued weren’t the only ones inside. A young boy, the son of one of the occupants, was trapped on the second floor, and they had to think fast.
