Boy, 15, killed when his dirt bike is struck by a pickup truck driver

A teenage boy was killed when the dirt bike he was riding was struck by a pickup driver in Coon Rapids Sunday afternoon.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office says Isaiah Whitlock, 15, of Ramsey, died at the scene following the collision around 4:40 p.m. on the 3300 block of Northdale Blvd Northwest.

Police claim Whitlock was driving on the southern sidewalk in a northwesterly direction when he "swerved onto the road" at Marigold Street Northwest, and was struck by a pickup driven by a 53-year-old man from Oak Grove.

No other injuries were reported, with the incident under investigation by several police agencies.
