PARLIER, Calif. (KFSN) -- Parlier High School has a newly renovated space for students to socialize and learn.

A grand opening celebration was held on Tuesday for the new "outdoor learning center."

The quad area features shade trees and electric outlets for outdoor learning.

Parlier Unified leaders say it was designed to resemble a college campus.

A plaque can also be found in the quad, made with bricks from the original music building, built in the 1960s that used to stand in that space.

The music department has since moved to a larger space.

The next project is a brand new stadium, which is expected to be completed in 2027.
