A staff member at Kasbah Nightclub in Coventry says he has 'lost a friend of 30 years' as tributes pour in for popular DJ Kristian Lewis, who passed away on September 8. Kristian, known to many as Krissy, was a DJ at Kasbah when the club was formerly known as the Colosseum in 1995.
Sam El, who works for Kasbah, said Krissy was a 'genuinely kind soul' and was 'one of a kind' who will be 'truly missed'. Many described him as a 'legend' who was 'full of character' and had extensive music knowledge.
The team posted a tribute on Facebook on Monday, saying that they will 'never forget' the moments that made him who he was from and always made 'everyone feel welcome' no matter who they were.
Sam El said, "He was a genuinely kind soul who would try to learn Bosnian to chat with your parents
