DETROIT – There will be no charges in an alleged porta-potty sexual assault, authorities announced.

The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office said there isn’t enough evidence to charge the suspect in this case.

A 34-year-old Detroit woman alleges that, on Sept. 1, at Van Antwerp Park, an unknown male pointed a gun at her, forced her into a portable toilet and sexually assaulted her. The suspect fled on foot.

The victim immediately went to a local hospital and received a rape kit, FOX 2 Detroit reports. She reported the incident to police the following day.

A 27-year-old male suspect was arrested by the Detroit police, authorities said.
