LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the Central Arkansas Library System announced the reopening of its main branch after a remodel had been delayed due to construction delays.
The building was initially set to reopen on Sept. 20. CALS executive director Nate Colter said in a statement that the date has been moved back. Colter said the contractor had informed him there would be delays last Friday.
Library services will be available on Sept. 29, Colter said, with a formal reopening taking place on Oct. 4. Beginning Sept. 29, users will be able to check out a book, use a public computer, access a study room and walk through the building, he said.
