Adler, a Canada Research Professor of biomedical engineering, shut down his animal research program at Carleton this summer after Ford vowed to ban medical research on dogs and cats.
Ford said the province would start “hunting down” researchers involved with medical testing on cats or dogs in response to a report from the Investigative Journalism Bureau (IJB) on canine research at St. Joseph’s Hospital in London, Ont.
