TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Lawton Chiles High School is currently placed under “Closed Campus” due to “law enforcement activity in the area,” according to the high school.

Formerly referred to as a “Lock Out,” Leon County Schools says the “Closed Campus” protocol is called for an off, but near campus incident. “No one is allowed on campus, movement is restricted and security measures are heightened,” according to LCS.

The high school wrote in a social media post just before 1:30 p.m. Wednesday that “there is no imminent threat on our campus, but as a safety precaution, we will not be allowing folks to enter or leave our campus until law enforcement gives us the all clear. ”

As a result, there may be delays in dismissal, according to the school.
