JOHNSON CITY, NY (WIVT/WBGH) An effort is underway to help seniors stay safe as they age.

Held Tuesday, September 16th, the Senior Safety event will feature a safety presentation about accident preventions, and a CarFit program display.

In partnership with United Health services and Broome County Traffic Safety Program, the Johnson City Senior Center will host a Senior Safety Event. The event will be located on 30 Brocton Street, Johnson city, from 10:30am till 1:30pm.

The safety presentation will discuss senior accident prevention inside and outside the home. Topics will range from preventing falls, basic medical information, pedestrian safety and more.
