KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Ninth Judicial Drug Task Force, the Knox County Sheriff's Office and the Oak Ridge Police Department seized 50 pounds of drugs while investigating social media drug sales, the task force announced.

"Drug dealers are targeting our kids where they spend the most time — online," the Ninth Judicial Drug Task Force said. "In just a few clicks, a teenager can see illegal drugs for sale, message a stranger, and set up a meeting. This danger is very real, and it’s happening here in our communities."

It shared photos of some of the drugs, including chocolate cones infused with psilocybin mushrooms and KitKat cereal bars infused with cannabis.

The task force — which serves Loudon, Meigs, Morgan and Roane Counties — encouraged parents to check in with their children,
