KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Around 400 members of the University of Tennessee ROTC programs participated in a 9/11 memorial stair climb Thursday morning.

Together, ROTC cadets and staff members climbed the stairs at Neyland Stadium to remember the first responders who rushed up the stairs of the Twin Towers to save lives. The event honored the victims of the terrorist attack and paid tribute to the first responders.

Quinn Sabo, a member of the Air Force ROTC said that it was his responsibility to give back because of the freedom he has enjoyed: "It's really easy for us to forget, especially when we're in such a cool venue like Neyland, but a lot of people put a lot of blood sweat and tears, and there were a lot of lives lost, so I just try to keep in mind that that's something that really
