FARGO — GP's Greek Kitchen in Fargo is closing, with its last day set for Saturday, Sept. 13.
That's according to owner Mandy Morton, who confirmed Wednesday, Sept. 10., that the business would soon be shuttered.
The announcement was also made on the restaurant's website.
The business opened in late 2018 in the South Creek mall at 2553 Kirsten Lane S., Suite, 206.
At the time, Morton said the GP initials used in the name stood for George Petraqis, a family name.
The restaurant's menu reflected the Mediterranean region and included homemade soups such as avgolemono (a homemade Greek soup with egg, lemon, chicken and rice), fresh salads, and traditional dishes such as gyros, souvlaki and spanakopita.
In 2022, GP’s Greek Kitchen was named the best Greek restaurant in North Dakota b
