Newark police to join nationwide Operation Clear Track railroad safety blitz
Newark, DE – Newark Police will be out in force next Tuesday as part of “Operation Clear Track,” a national railroad safety initiative aimed at preventing injuries and fatalities at rail crossings, officials announced Tuesday afternoon.
The campaign, held during See Tracks? Think Train Week (September 15–21), will see Newark officers partnering with Amtrak Police and more than 600 law enforcement agencies across 48 states. The coordinated enforcement effort is the largest of its kind in the United States.
