CLEVELAND — Great Lakes Brewing Co. (GLBC) is ringing in the holiday season with the return of its iconic Christmas Ale and the annual First Pour celebration at its Ohio City brewpub.

The seasonal favorite, brewed with ginger, cinnamon and honey, will be available in draft, bottles and cans — including new 19.2 oz. cans — beginning Oct. 20. Fans can get an early taste at the Christmas Ale First Pour event on Thursday, Oct. 16, starting at 11 a.m., with the ceremonial keg tapping at 11:30 a.m.

The First Pour celebration, an annual Cleveland tradition, will feature:

Live music from Austin Walkin’ Cane, DJ Red-I and Apostle Jones

Holiday treats from Brewnuts (while supplies last)

Christmas Ale-themed food specials

Carolers, photo ops, limited-edition merchandise and more

A toy drive
