GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — Three people were arrested on meth charges in Gibson County as a result of an incident that started as a welfare check.
Around 5 p.m. Tuesday, Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report from a concerned citizen asking for a welfare check to be conducted on a person at a residence on S 1100 East near Somerville.
Deputies say they arrived at the home and could smell marijuana coming from inside, prompting a drug investigation.
A search warrant led to the arrests of three individuals, 57-year-old Donald Williams of Somerville, 57-year-old Christina Lloyd of Oakland City, and 54-year-old Randy Bates of Fort Branch, all on meth-related charges.
All three were booked into the Gibson County Jail.
