DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A hotel in Sidney had an estimated $60k in damage early Tuesday morning.

According to the Sidney Department of Fire and Emergency Services, a call came in for a reported structure fire at the Quality Inn at approximately 6:45 a.m.

Officials on scene said the two-story, wood-frame hotel had moderate smoke and fire showing from the second-floor window on the southwest wing.

Sidney police assisted with the evacuation of the building and crowd control.

According to officials, the Sidney Fire deployed an attack line to the second floor and the sprinkler system contained the fire to one room.

Officials searched the building twice to ensure no one was inside. There were no reported injuries from the fire.

Sidney Fire estimated property loss at approximately $60k.
