Officers responded to a convenience store in Williamston, South Carolina, about a kidnapping and armed robbery on Wednesday.

According to preliminary information, a suspect forced an individual into a vehicle and drove them to the gas station to make a withdrawal from an ATM.

Officers said the suspect has been arrested and that there is no ongoing threat to the community.

This incident is still under active investigation.
