OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. —

Officials with Duke Energy say there was a leak in the cooling system for a reactor at the Oconee Nuclear Station.

During planned maintenance at 12:07 p.m., a small leak was discovered in the system that provides cooling water to the unit 1 reactor. The leak was stopped, and water was contained inside the plant just before 2 p.m. Latest Forecast
