NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A slew of officials in Tennessee have reacted to the shooting of political activist Charlie Kirk at a university event in Utah on Wednesday.
Kirk was reportedly shot at an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday afternoon.
Kirk is the CEO and co-founder of the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA. The organization also confirmed he was shot, according to the Associated Press.
President Donald Trump responded to the shooting, writing in a post on Truth Social:
“We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!”
