KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Since news broke that conservative activist and co-founder of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk died Tuesday afternoon, prayers and well-wishes have rang out from across the world, with no exception to public officials in Missouri and Kansas.

From all parts of the political spectrum, notable figures from both sides of the state line have taken to social media to express their sadness for Kirk, who was declared dead shortly after being shot at Utah Valley University during a speaking event.

Prior to his passing, though, politicians in Missouri, like Rep. Mark Alford (R-MO), shared their condolences after news of the shooting was confirmed.
