“The unit will allow for three wheelchair placements as well as 12 passengers, which provides a better service for our community,” Drew Hadfield, town infrastructure director, told council.

Hadfield said the Dial-a-Bus being replaced is a “troublesome” rear-lift unit with approximately four seats.

Whitecourt’s current Dial-a-Bus was reaching the end of its life expectancy, so the town put out a request for proposals, according to council’s agenda package.
