CHITTENDEN COUNTY, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – The Chittenden Solid Waste District has partnered with the Vermont Language Justice Project to create videos showing people how to properly recycle.
The Chittenden Solid Waste District's Community Outreach Coordinator, Kat Moody, tells me the videos highlight the five main rules of recycling and are translated in fifteen different languages. Those languages being Arabic, American Sign Language (ASL), English, Burmese, Dari, French, Kirundi, Mandarin, Maay Maay, Nepali, Pashto, Spanish, Somali, Swahili and Vietnamese.
Moody also encourages the people of Vermont to recycle, because she says that when you recycle, it truly is put to good use.
