ALLEN PARK -- Taylor Decker missed Wednesday’s practice with a shoulder injury. But the Detroit Lions starting left tackle hopes to play against the Chicago Bears in this weekend’s home opener.
Decker and linebacker Jack Campbell (ankle) were the only two players to miss practice. Each player played every offensive and defensive snaps against the Green Bay Packers in Week 1.
“Yeah, I didn’t practice today,” Decker said in the locker room. “Just got some stuff that I’m dealing with. Hopefully be out there on Sunday. Hopefully.”
Decker underwent surgery on his shoulder during the offseason in what he previously described as a clean-up procedure. The team’s longest-tenured player said it was something he tried to rehab through, but felt the injury needed to be addressed after coming back f
