LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Good music pairs great with a good deed. September is a big month for music in Kentucky with two major music festivals happening at the Kentucky Expo Center. The economic impact of Bourbon & Beyond and Louder than Life stretches across industries, and music fans are supporting charitable endeavors, likely without even knowing it.
Ahead of the sellout shows, music fans are first flocking to stores like Goodwill.
Jennifer Simcoe is the senior store manager of the Northfield location on Louisville’s east end. She said sales are up ahead of Louisville’s two biggest music festivals.
“We’ve seen an uptick in customers last week to the tune of 8%. So, lots of people are coming in looking for their fashion, getting ready for Bourbon & Beyond and Louder than Life,” Simcoe told
