COLUMBUS, Neb. (KOLN) — A Columbus woman and three teens are in custody after a man was savagely beaten in a central Nebraska home invasion.
Officers arrested 45-year-old Jennifer Arends on Thursday, and three teens ranging in age from 15 to 17 were also taken into custody.
Merrick County deputies were called on report of an assault to a home near Silver Creek around 5:30 a.m. Thursday. A 56-year-old man told authorities he’d just been assaulted by four people.
Blood was pooled on the home’s floor and could be seen splattered on walls, an arrest affidavit shows. The victim suffered multiple lacerations to the head and was seen bleeding when deputies arrived.
