COLUMBIA, S.C. — There’s a new way to experience Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) without a plane ticket.

The airport is now offering a new guest pass program , " Experience CAE ," which allows non-travelers to access the post-security area.

That means guests can dine at the restaurants, check out the shops, see the upcoming Art in the Airport exhibits, or even relax in one of those rocking chairs while watching planes take off. Guests can also spend a little extra time with family and friends before their flight.

Here’s what to know:

You’ll need to apply for a guest pass at least 48 hours before your visit.

Applications open up to seven days in advance.

You’ll get an email letting you know if you’re approved.

To enter, bring your pass and a TSA-approved ID.
