GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Following a year of record-breaking passenger numbers for the Central Nebraska Regional Airport (CNRA), the airport will now have a bigger jet flying the route for Grand Island and Dallas.

The new CRJ-900 SkyWest jet has 75 seats in total. This is still smaller then the Allegiant Airbus A319 that flies from Grand Island to Las Vegas, which holds around 150 seats.

The record-breaking start to the year had about 15% more passengers compared to last year. This leaves Mike Olson, the director of CNRA, to believe they will break their old annual record of 71,000 passengers served by 4,000 passengers.
