Pennsylvania's state senate has gone home for the week, with no final budget deal confirmed. Senate Republican leader Joe Pittman did say in a press release that he could see a deal coming in a few days.

As the budget impasse continues, groups like schools and human service non profits are getting closer and closer to fiscal issues.

We asked local lawmakers what they wanted to tell constituents about the budget that is now 72 days late.

Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Wyoming) said of the frozen funds "Our schools, human services-- and families who rely on them-- are stuck waiting for an end to the unnecessary hold-up in Harrisburg.”

She promised to fight for a fair, balanced budget while respecting taxpayers.
