Four students taken to the hospital after crash involving EBR school bus

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A truck collided with a bus shortly after 3 pm in the 15000 block of Airline in front of Prime Medical, sending four patients to the hospital, WAFB has learned.

EBR schools said four students were on the bus at the time. All of them went to the hospital.

Witnesses told WAFB that doctors from Prime Medical rushed out to help and assisted in getting the students off the bus.

The driver of the truck was also taken to the hospital.

The students were apparently coming home from Woodlawn Middle and Woodlawn High when the crash happened, according to EBR School officials. Those schools share some routes together, EBR schools said.
