The Falmouth Solid Waste Advisory Committee will host a latex paint recycling event on Saturday, September 20, in the Falmouth High School parking lot at 874 Gifford Street Extension from 9 AM to noon. Residents and small business owners may drop off water-based paints in good condition, which will be collected by the event partner, ReColor Paints. Suggested donation of $5 per can of paint is requested to cover collection, hauling and recycling costs, and to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod in their mission to build local, affordable housing.
ReColor Paints, a woman-owned, environmentally focused paint manufacturer based in Hanover, collects, sorts, sanitizes and filters the collected paints, creating new premium quality paints from old material. Habitat for Humanity Cape Cod sell
