BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Throughout this week, Kentucky school districts are focusing on school safety.

“Safe Schools Week in Kentucky is a week where the center [Kentucky Center for School Safety] asks schools to have specific conversations about different parts of school safety, and we try to highlight the fact that it’s a complex issue and it needs to be something that is discussed,” explains KYCSS Resource Center Director Patricia Greer.

School safety involves more than just faculty and staff. It needs to be a conversation that involves students, parents, and the community as well.
