BOISE, Idaho — Maureen Brewer has been selected by Boise Mayor Lauren McLean to lead the city's Department of Planning and Development Services.

The department is in charge of building permits, city code and other aspects of urban planning for the city of Boise, according to a news release.

Brewer recently worked as the manager of Our Path Home , which is an initiative to help the unhoused population. She spent the past five years overseeing the creation of projects totaling over $60 million.
