LOXLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — A school in Baldwin County is preparing students for a career after graduation.
"With the trades profession, hands-on experience is going to be your best tool," Chad Eubanks, the HVAC instructor at Baldwin Preparatory Academy in Loxley, said.
That's exactly what construction and HVAC students at Baldwin Prep are getting, thanks to a $20,000 grant from the Alabama Construction Industry Craft Training Board.
"We're building a structure outside. It's going to be essentially an MEP mock-up, mechanical, electrical, plumbing. The students are going to do everything from the install to the trim out," Eubanks said. "I know the kids are excited because they're itching to get out there and start working."
